All arrows moving towards the top of the screen MUST be stepped on, or the world will be destroyed.

Even though none of my local arcades have Pro yet (well...a crosstown one has ITG2, but still), I am totally storing this on my USB drives.

patch me in!

Sweet! Thanks again to the dev team for continuing to improve the game! This should hold us over nicely until the content pack is released.

I'm patching our machine right after work... if I don't go do it at lunch. =)

We did have a small issue. After the patch was installed the game rebooted twice, then went to the green screen of death. But after waiting out the green screen for a little less than a minute, it went to the AM title screen and all was well.

Also since this wasn't mentioned in this thread, the patch also adds all the NMs/FSs/etc listed below:

Blow My Mind (FS added [4])
Coming Out (NM moved to HDB [10]. New NM added [9])
Dawn -Perpetual Mix- (FS moved to HDB [7]. New FS added [8])
VVV (FS moved to HDB [12]. New FS added [8])
Chicken Wing (FS added [6])
D Gang (NM added [10])
Dance With Me (NM added [9])
Don't Bother Me (NM added [9])
Emperor (NM added [9])
Eres Para Mi (NM added [12])
Everybody (NM added [8])
Ignition Starts (NM added [11])
Let The Sunshine (NM added [8])
Maria (NM added [8])
Mexi Mexi (NM added [11])
Monkey Magic (NM moved to HDB [9], New NM added [10])
Oh Rosa! (NM added [9])
Space Fantasy (NM added [10])
Starian (NM added [10])

This patch is the poopy though.

Patch works

We installed the patch tonight — worked just fine. The rebooting seems to be a planned part of the install.

Yea it does seem to be part of it, reading the Linux boot it needs a boot to install, then a reboot to fully install. I just wanted people to not panic if/when they saw the green screen of death since I guess it's part of it. Oh well, it works.

green screen of death

Postby sporklift » Thu Jul 24, 2008 10:19 am

Another note about the "green screen of death."

The machine normally displays this screen each time it starts up (even before the patch). The only thing unusual about the reboot is how long it pauses on the green screen.

If you look in the lower right hand corner during boot, you can see what appears to be a parked mouse cursor. I did try hooking up a mouse once for fun, but it was not recognized, at least not from the front USB ports.

Its just the X server after its set up with nothing running. During that time Stepmania loads.

It reboots once after patch is copied. Then the install-patch.sh script tells it to reboot again after copying game.sh.

if [ ! -L /game/game.sh ]; then
echo Bootstrapping /game/game.sh
mount /game -o remount,rw,sync
cp /game/game.sh /game/old.game.sh

# ln -sf is not atomic; mv is
ln -s /game/bin/game.sh /game/game.sh.new
mv /game/game.sh.new /game/game.sh

# It'd be better to just remount the filesystem readonly and continue, but
# we deleted /game/game.sh, and it's currently running as our parent, so
# the mount will fail.
reboot
sleep 10d

By the way, you might want to update the Arcade Updates page. (pumpituppro.com/arcade) Just for owners who don't know about the forums.

PiU Pro PC would win. Linux/Mac/Windows, please.
